Infectious ulcers

Suspected case of meliodosis in a Vietnamese dog caused by the zoonotic agent Burkholderia pseudomallei. Clinical manifestations of this tropical disease include deep, infectious abcesses like the ones in the picture. Unfortunately, the bacteria can also be transmitted to other animals and humans (!).
